JOE FEE
Joe Fee is a composer, director, and multi instrumentalist.
His work has been featured in New York at the Martha Graham Studio, NYU Skirball Center, and the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center as well as the Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston, Texas. His chamber music has been presented at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, LeFrak Concert Hall, and Sirius/XM Radio. Fee has been commissioned by the MET Dance Company in Houston, New York's Queens Ballet Center, and Taipei National University of the Arts (Taiwan) as well as receiving a Music Composition Fellowship from the New Jersey Council on the Arts in 2023.
Fee has performed at Carnegie Hall, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Miller Theatre and cities abroad such as Beijing and Shanghai. From 2007-2014, he was a member of Newband where he premiered pieces for the Harry Partch instrumentarium as well as stagings of Partch’s theater works in venues such as The New England Conservatory, University of Washington, Montclair State University, and Carnegie Hall as part of the San Francisco Symphony’s American Mavericks series.
Fee is currently writing and directing work for music, dance and film.
